- NAT and Firewall Traversal
Nuvoiz has developed intelligent technology for traversing all NAT and firewalls in the market today. The patent-pending technology is designed using the most comprehensive set of options, including STUN and TURN, to dynamically execute NAT and firewall traversal for peer-to-peer call connectivity over any IP network. It can be deployed without any reconfiguration or disruption of existing networks.
- TCP Tunneling, Accelerated TCP Relay
By default UDP is used for transporting voice media. However, some firewalls completely block UDP. In such cases, Nuvoiz uses TCP tunneling to traverse these firewalls, thus providing complete connectivity for VoIP. To achieve best quality of service using TCP, Nuvoiz uses an accelerated TCP relay for media data.
- Multiple Associations with Multiple Access Points
Nuvoiz's UCX technology enables multiple associations with multiple access points to eliminate latency during access point handover. The handover process typically takes from hundreds of milliseconds to several seconds depending on the Wi-Fi driver behavior and the type of authentication mechanism used (open/shared/WPA/WPA2). With multiple associations, latency can be reduced exponentially.
- Intelligent Access Point Selection Algorithm
Nuvoiz's patentable technology includes an intelligent algorithm for selecting the best access point for the best quality of service. The algorithm performs the following tasks:
- Client-side site survey, discovery, and mapping of access points via RSSI.
- Radio dead spot detection.
- Congestion detection.
- 3G-WiFi Seamless Handover for Data
Innovative client-side 3G-WiFi handover technology from Nuvoiz allows seamless roaming between 3G and WiFi data networks. Calls can be maintained through the handoff between 3G and WiFi data networks without a discernable impact on quality of service.
